1. What we collect

At sign-up (required)

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address, identifier, display name and profile picture those services provide. We never receive your password.

The display name and profile picture are used only to greet you at the top of the screen. The profile picture is not stored on our servers — each time you open the page we show whatever the provider gives us at that moment, so if you change your picture there, it follows here too. The display name is stored with your account as the name we call you by, and is deleted when your account information is deleted.

If you answered someone's Inyeon board (even without an account)

If a member sends you a link to their Inyeon board and you answer it, we collect your name, date of birth, solar/lunar calendar, hour of birth and sex so we can read the relationship between you and that member. We ask for your consent before you send your answer, and we record the time you gave it. You choose whether the member sees your date of birth.

Your answer is deleted together with the member's account when they delete it. If you would like it removed sooner, write to giwoon.com@gmail.com — we will find which board you answered and remove it.

If you have not signed up (Guest · PRE ACCOUNT)

You can view your chart and basic reading without an account. Even then, we need your birth date and birth time to calculate the chart. So we keep the following.

Collected as you use the service

• Conversations — so you can continue them and carry them across devices. We keep the 40 most recent messages per figure and fold anything older into a one-line summary
• Saved results — readings you kept with "Save your result". We store not the report itself but the values needed to draw it again (name, birth date, birth time, sex) together with the conversation and compatibility records of that moment. We keep the 200 most recent per account and drop the oldest beyond that
• Usage records — Giwoon (in-app currency) earned and spent, cards collected, check-ins, subscription status
• Payment records — date, amount, and the transaction ID issued by the payment provider. We never hold card or bank account numbers — the payment provider handles those
• Even without an account — you can erase the email you left earlier and your chart data, or stop marketing messages, on the deletion & opt-out page. No account needed
• Access logs — server logs for operations and incident response

2. Children

GIWOON is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 14, we delete it without delay.

3. How long we keep it

Records kept under law are used only for that purpose. After you delete your account they are severed from your identity, so they can no longer be tied to you.

4. Processors

We do not sell your information and do not share it with third parties, except where a lawful authority compels it through proper legal process.

5. About advertising

Giwoon.com shows Google AdSense ads. Ads appear in two fixed places on the result screen and nowhere else.

Who does not see ads

• Anyone who has paid, even once — no ads after that.
• Active subscribers.
• Your first reading — the first result you ever see has no ads.

What reaches Google

To choose an ad, Google uses cookies and similar technologies. What reaches Google is what your browser sends — your IP address, device and browser details, the page address you are on, and an advertising cookie identifier. Google may combine your visits here with visits to other sites to show ads that fit your interests.

Your name, email, birth date, chart data, and AI conversations are never sent to Google. There is no path in our code that would send them.

Turning off personalized ads

• Google My Ad Center lets you turn personalization off.
• aboutads.info turns it off across many ad companies at once.
• You can block cookies in your browser. Other things — staying signed in, for one — get less convenient too.
• Google explains how it uses data for ads in its advertising policies.

6. About the AI

To generate readings and replies, your calculated chart and the conversation are sent to an AI model (Amazon Bedrock). This is used only to produce your answer. It is not used to train the model.

GIWOON readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or career advice from a qualified professional.

7. Your choices

• Access and correction — available in Settings at any time. Note that once you verify a phone number, birth date, calendar type, and sex are locked (changing them would change your chart and therefore the cards you received). Birth time remains editable.
• Withdraw a consent you already gave — we no longer ask for marketing consent. If you gave it earlier, you can withdraw it on the deletion & opt-out page
• Delete your account — Settings > Delete account, directly in the app. Your Giwoon, subscription, and Codex are deleted with it and cannot be restored
• Other requests — write to us at the address below and we will respond within the period the law allows

8. How we protect it

• Passwords are stored only in an irreversible form
• Phone numbers are never stored — only a one-way hash
• Row-level security on every table, so only you can read your rows
• The currency ledger is append-only, so records cannot be quietly altered
• All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)

We announce changes in the app at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before any change that is unfavourable to you — for which we also ask your consent again.
